National Jeweler has predicted that silver will be one of the most popular jewelry categories for sale this holiday season.
And silver is gaining ground industry-wide: 81 percent of National Jeweler survey respondents reported that their silver jewelry sales have been heading upwards over the past three years. At this summer's jewelry trade shows, observers reported increased demand for silver.
Designers are focusing especially on dark oxidized silver designs, and designs that add a touch of gold for a classy two-tone look.
